Our Work

Projects We've Delivered

A look at real projects Mwanga Africa Initiative has completed for communities across Kenya.

Completed Projects

Nine projects, Three communities strengthened.

Housing Support

Housing Support

We built a safe and dignified home for a widow in need, providing her with shelter, security, and hope.

Food Security

Food Security

Students and teachers often rely on simple meals such as githeri and porridge. Through our Food Security Project, Mwanga Africa Initiative is seeking support to provide balanced, nutritious meals that promote healthy growth, improve learning, and help children stay in school with dignity.

Water for Livelihoods

Water for Livelihoods

We are supporting the community by digging water dams to harvest and preserve rainwater for animals and agricultural activities in Koyugi Village Homabay.

Sustainable Agriculture & Livelihoods

Sustainable Agriculture & Livelihoods

Supporting local farmers with banana cultivation, strengthening food security and income opportunities for smallholder growers.

Community Computer Lab

Community Computer Lab

Mwanga Africa Initiative is seeking support to establish a community computer lab where students and young people can access digital training, research, STEM learning, and guidance in university course applications. The lab will help bridge the digital gap and empower learners to build a brighter future.

Empowering Youth Through Skills

Empowering Youth Through Skills

During our community visit, Mwanga Africa Initiative met talented young people with skills in brick making. They demonstrated their knowledge and ability, but a lack of proper equipment limits their opportunity to turn these skills into sustainable livelihoods. We are seeking support to provide the necessary brick-making equipment, enabling these youths to create employment, earn income, and contribute to the development of their community. Skills are present. Opportunity is what’s needed.

Clinic Construction

Clinic Construction

This project aims to establish a sustainable full service community clinic that will provide more comprehensive and reliable health care services to communities with limited access to health facilities.

Chicken Project

Community Chicken Farming Project

The project will engage communities in chicken farming and rearing to improve household incomes, food security, and sustainable livelihoods.

Water harvesting project

Water harvesting project

MAI seeks funding to install rainwater harvesting systems in 8 schools, providing 3 storage tanks per school, alongside community water reservoirs to improve reliable access to water.
